christmas carol

Scrooge says "CHRISTMAS IS A HUMBUG".
can i get some information reguarding this particular dailog n also any reference book related to ENGLISH

In the novel

'A Christmas Carol' shows how the novelist engages your interest in the character and explain the nature and process of his development.

In the novel "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, the main character, Scrooge, develops over the course of meeting four ghosts in the night. At the start of the novel he is an old miser who earns lots of money but has nothing to show for it. He is also never nice to anyone, and never gives any of his money away. But by the end if the novel he has made a complete transformation.

in da play scrooge has been shown as an anti cristmas character
who does not believe in the festivity of christmas n henceforth decieves it with a single word i.eHUMBUG

to destroy all da festivity of christmas

HUMBUG means sth that is

HUMBUG means sth that is untrue or fraud ....scrooge didn't believe in spirit of christmas..ha was an anti social man......so he called it so......
