electric field

It is said that energy is present in electric fields in capacitor,but according to mass energy relatiom mc^2(mc squard) energy is present only when there is mass but electric field has no mass

Well, as i feel, electric field has mass, as the field carry electrons and the electrons have their own specific charge...
